Education & Experience

Maegan graduated first in her class at Oklahoma City University School of Law in May of 2021. While at OCU, Maegan was a Hatton Sumners Scholar, a member of the Oklahoma City University Law Review, a student member of the Federal Bar Association, and a student member of the William J. Holloway Inn of Court. Maegan received the CALI Award (which recognizes the student earning the top grade in the class) in 15 courses including income tax, estate planning, contract drafting, property and legal research and writing. She was the recipient of the Oklahoma Bar Association Tax Section Award for Excellence in Tax Law, the Oklahoma Bar Association Bankruptcy Section Award for Excellence in Bankruptcy Law, and the Judge Alfred P. Murrah Sr. Award for Outstanding Academic Performance. While in law school, Maegan clerked at Harrison & Mecklenburg, Inc. as well as a large law firm in Oklahoma City.

Maegan received her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in December of 2017, graduating summa cum laude. While at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, she worked as an intern at accounting firms in Weatherford and Kingfisher and was named the 2017 Accounting Student of the Year.

Personal

Maegan was born and raised in Kingfisher, Oklahoma where she grew up on a farm and worked wheat harvest at Wheeler Brothers Grain Co. for seven summers. She looks forward to becoming more involved in the community. In her free time, Maegan enjoys spending time with her family, her friends, and her dog Case. Maegan attends the First United Methodist Church of Kingfisher, where she serves as a member of the Finance Committee.
