Emily Stoner

Emily Stoner is a shareholder with Harrison & Mecklenburg focusing primarily on real estate, land titles, business formation and compliance, estate planning, and probate and estate administration, as well as a growing appellate practice. Emily strives to provide her clients with personal, professional service and is committed to pursuing clients’ goals in the most practical, prompt, and cost-effective manner possible.

Professional Experience

Emily joined Harrison & Mecklenburg in 2017. Prior to joining the firm, Emily practiced Corporate and Securities Law. Emily is a member of the Kingfisher County and Oklahoma Bar Associations.

Education

Emily graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2013 with highest honors and was elected to the Order of the Coif. During law school, Emily was elected to serve as the Managing Editor of the Oklahoma Law Review.

Emily received the National Order of Scribes Award, the Julian C. Monnet Memorial Fund Scholarship for Best Appellate Brief, and the Frank C. Love Memorial Award for Outstanding Paper. She also received academic achievement awards for the highest grade in Legal Research & Writing I and II, Property Law, Professional Responsibility, Secured Transactions, and Immigration Law.

Emily received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Oklahoma State University in 2002.

Personal

Following graduation from OSU, Emily worked for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services and the Hal Smith Restaurant Group.

Emily was raised in Kingfisher County, living first in Omega before later moving to Okarche where she currently resides. Emily and her late husband, Kenny, have two sons: Dusty, also deceased, and Cody. Emily enjoys reading, watching football, and playing games with Cody. Influenced by the personal tragedies she has endured, Emily aspires to counsel her clients with integrity, compassion, and conscientiousness.
